There’s an argument to be made that when the Fed prints money, it first goes to investment banks and big institutions, who use it to shore up their own balance sheets. One way they do so is by investing directly in the stock market themselves. “Do you also see a resurgence in the market,” we asked this week’s guru Graham Summers, “as a signal of inflation as well?” “Yes,” Graham replied, “because stocks love inflation (pause) initially.” What happens next is when mayhem ensues.
